The IPM program provides advice on how to deal with the environmental agenda in selected industry sectors of high environmental risk, such as mining, fertilizer production, oil and gas exploration, and manufacturing sectors with high pollution potential. It outlines technology and management options, and promotes information exchange and training initiatives.

  It is divided into two sectors, namely Industry Sectors and Industry Issues.
These sections cover mining, fertilizer production, oil and gas, industrial estates, contaminated land, hazardous waste management and education and training.
